Purpose
The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to foster a safe, respectful, Christ-centered (if applicable) learning environment where students, parents, volunteers, and staff can learn, serve, and grow together.
All members, students, parents, guardians, volunteers, and guests are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects respect, kindness, integrity, and consideration for others.
Behavior Expectations
Students
Students are expected to:
- Show respect toward parents, teachers, volunteers, fellow students, and facility staff.
- Follow instructions given by teachers, leaders, and designated volunteers.
- Use appropriate language at all times.
- Demonstrate kindness, courtesy, and good sportsmanship.
- Respect personal boundaries and the property of others.
- Participate in activities in a manner that promotes safety and inclusion.
- Refrain from bullying, harassment, intimidation, or disruptive behavior.
- Use electronic devices only when permitted for educational purposes.
Parents and Guardians
Parents and guardians are expected to:
- Model respectful and positive behavior.
- Support association policies and leadership decisions.
- Address concerns directly and respectfully through established communication channels.
- Refrain from gossip, slander, or public criticism of members, volunteers, or leadership.
- Supervise their children when not under the direct supervision of a teacher or designated leader.
- Ensure that their children arrive prepared and ready to participate.
Volunteers and Leaders
Volunteers and leaders are expected to:
- Treat all families fairly and respectfully.
- Maintain appropriate boundaries with students.
- Promote a positive and encouraging learning environment.
- Address behavioral concerns consistently and professionally.
- rioritize the safety and well-being of all participants.
Dress Code
The homeschool association recognizes that clothing choices vary among families. The purpose of the dress code is to promote modesty, safety, and an appropriate educational atmosphere.
All participants are expected to wear clothing that:
- Is clean and in good condition.
- Provides appropriate coverage of undergarments.
- Covers the chest, midriff, and upper thighs.
- Does not contain offensive, vulgar, discriminatory, sexually suggestive, or drug/alcohol-related images or messages.
- Is appropriate for the activity being conducted.
Additionally:
- Shoes must be worn when required by facility rules or for safety purposes.
- Clothing should not create a safety hazard during classes, sports, labs, or field trips.
- Costumes or themed attire may be permitted during special events when approved by leadership.
Bullying and Harassment
Bullying, harassment, intimidation, threats, or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated.
This includes:
- Physical aggression
- Verbal abuse
- Social exclusion
- Cyberbullying
- Harassing messages, posts, or comments
Any concerns should be reported promptly to association leadership.
Facility and Property Care
Members are expected to:
- Respect all facilities, equipment, and materials.
- Clean up after themselves and their children.
- Report any damage or safety concerns to leadership.
- Follow all rules established by the host facility.
Disciplinary Process
Failure to follow this Code of Conduct may result in:
- Verbal reminder or warning
- Parent notification and discussion
- Temporary removal from an activity or event
- Suspension from participation
- Termination of membership, when deemed necessary by association leadership
Leadership reserves the right to determine appropriate disciplinary action based on the nature and severity of the situation.
Acknowledgment
By participating in the Homeschool Association, members agree to uphold this Code of Conduct and contribute to a respectful, safe, and positive environment for all families.
